Only a matter of 6months and Dreamworld's new $60million waterpark will fling open it's gates to welcome the first visitors. With still not alot revelaed about the parks ride lineup, we do know it will include a wavepool, tornado (similar to Wet 'n' Wilds), bowl slide aswell as a number of Tower Slides. Though there are still unconfirmed attractions that haven't been revealed yet.
With these remaining attractions to be unvieled we site here and wait for what it seems like an eternity for an official press release from Maquarie Leisure.
What would you like to see at the park?
Personally a Proslide Rocket would be a fantastic addition to the park. Having never seen before in Australia this would certainly rock the socks of Wet 'n' Wild only a few minutes down the road...
Well some attraction info is being leaked through various sources so far this is what we know...
- Tornado (similar to Wet n Wild's)
- Two bowls
- 3 Raft Slides
- Rocket Slide
- Wave Pool
- A lazy river is believe to be an adition too..
Full attractions list in the next few weeks.
I know one more that isn't there =P but you can wait for that one, lets just say someones wishes are coming true =P
Oh! Oh! Spotty, can you perhaps share with some clues or something see if people can work it out??
Anyone got any photos?
Spotty would this thing you know about be the rumored kids play area with expansive theming?
Haven't we already been told that there is going to be a kids area. It makes sense, it wouldn't be a complete waterpark without this. I know that little kiddies wouldn't really want to hit the tornado straight away!
I have confirmation from the park themselves that there WILL be a Proslide Octopus Racer built at the park. Having never been on one of these, it's an exciting prospect. More attraction details on their way stay tuned to Boomgen.net.
Yer i went looking on the net bout the new rides at the park. i can tell u they look amazing. there is gonna be no competition between WWW and WNW. The fact that dreamworld are building everything from scratch and everything in the park is gonna be new unlike WNW.
Cant Wait!
Yes. But Wet 'n' Wild will still have the advantge over Whitwater World that they are already established, created a brand for themselves, and made themselves known throughout Australia. It will be an even battle in the next few years, but in the end it comes down to customer service, atmoshpere and park presentation IMO.
Correct Loaded Toaster, though with the opening of the new park there is going to be alot of buzz surrounding it, and obviously Maquarie lesirue are going to launch a huge advertising campaign, so in terms of branding it's gonna be pretty even. There will be a massive spur in attendence to start off with but when the "hey its a new park" factor wears off the two parks will have their own riteful visitors.
